The Research and Planning Office operates directly under the Office of the School Director. It was established in 1987 as the Research, Planning and Development Office to assist in enriching NDGM’s educational program through the monitoring and evaluation of plans and conducting research programs that become bases for institutional polices, direction, and development.
In 2012, the functions and responsibilities of the different offices were delineated and aligned via the NDGM Job Evaluation Program. As a result, the office was identified as Research and Publication Office, mandated to work on the Research Agenda, Academic Researches, Technical Support (in research), Coordination of the Implementation of Research Finding, and Publication/Presentation of Research Outputs.
When Notre Dame of Greater Manila embarked in 2014-2020 planning cycle, the office was renamed RESEARCH AND PLANNING, in recognition of it’s lead role in the process. The major planning responsibilities include:
- Facilitating the drawing up of institutional strategic /operation plans for the school;
- Monitor and evaluating the implementation of plans upon the approval of the Director; and
- Consolidating outputs into year-end reports for presentation to the Board of Trustees.
